Etherna born during the summer of 2006 by an idea of the brothers Alessio and Alessandro Lucatti that finally give life to a project based on the previous years, a project that combines the personal experiences of the different members of the band with their vaste musical influences. Then the bass player and friend Davide Mei, that played on a tribute band of Iron Maiden, takes part of the band. Searching for a drummer the choice was for the young and new promise Francesco Micieli, drummer from Empoli with a great future. And to finish, Giacomo Boschetto, also him a long date friend became the passional voice of Etherna.
From that time many concerts (one of the most memorable is the Notte Bianca in Pisa with 1500 presences) with a good response from the people. Then the entrance in the studios to record the first homonym album "ETHERNA" with Underground Symphony storic italian metal label.
Then, on January 2008, the split from the rythimic session. And after months and months of silence finally the return to the music with two new elements: the eclectic drummer Matteo Amoroso (ex Vision Divine, Eldritch e Athena) and the rocky Marco Serani (ex Violent Cocks, Dome la Muerte and the Diggers). With them, the Etherna find new energy and new ideas that will bring them again in studios for the second album, with an all new style.
